About The Designer
Allison Parris, born in Southern California and raised in Birmingham, Michigan, grew up in a creative household were artistic development was highly encouraged. Beginning her professional training in fashion design, pattern-making and sewing during her early teenage years, he built a thriving business designing custom evening and bridal gowns for clients throughout the suburban Detroit area before graduating high school. During her time at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City she was able to work with staples of the American Fashion industry including Catherine Malandrino and Cynthia Rowley, and graduated with honors with double specializations in both Special Occasion and Leather Apparel & Accessories.
Allison then began her first company in 2008 which showed in New York Fashion Week and sold in department stores around the world including Neiman Marcus, Harvey Nichols, Rent the Runway, Fred Segal and more. Sherpa Sheets is Allison’s third company and relies heavily on her background in eco friendly textile development as well as American manufacturing.
To date, Allison’s work has been featured in many of the world’s top design publications including, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolotain, The Washington Post, Women’s Wear Daily and many more.
